Default Skill Upgrades!

Went back to DT with my lvl 61 Moon Elf Ranger, to heal some wounds (as per usual), and found...

2 skill points to use!

Upgraded two of my TOAD comparisons, which I neglected ages ago when I hadn't figured those things out.

BUT!!

There are now new skill upgrades:-

+4% TOAD adjustments
Additional +10% logistics
And many, many more!

Likely there'll be an announcement from the Admins soon - I'm just pre-empting them!

Ienzo also had some early mistakes to correct - and he wanted some of those new skills. So the dust was most definately appreciated. (And thanks on both accounts)

Could I get some of that Dust of Redecisiveness... for my real life? I have a past relationship and a couple of bad career choices I'd like to fix...

Sadly no, we havent finished developing the realworld(tm) version yet.
But with enough beer, anything is possible.

My Hardcore character could definitely use some Dust to acquire the new skills to face the Blight, as skill points will be hard to acquire from now on. Unfortunately, no Dust for him (although the Amulet of Recall is available, which is basically giving AP away and defeating the purpose of hardcore characters).

Maybe some free Dust for the level 50+ Hardcore characters?

Not really... It *would* defeat the point of the limited characters, but the point of hardcore is that when you die, you're done... has nothing to do with AP. The reason, I assume, that you can't buy AP as an HC character is not for "role playing" reasons, but rather because the staff don't want people getting upset that they spent a lot of money on their HC character which is now dead.

I don't see it the same way as you do, then. For me, a hardcore character is two things: a character with only one life, yes, but also a character which has exactly the same opportunities as other hardcore characters to develop. With the amulet, which is only available if you spend real money, you save probably 1 AP every 10-20 actions as you go back to the tavern to sell you loot/heal. That's probably 2-4 APs for the 50 APs you receive daily, or a 4-8% AP bonus, which is significant (if we set it at 6%, after a month, a hardcore character without the amulet will have spent 1500 APs; a character with the amulet 1590 APs, so almost two days worth of AP).

I have no issue with the owners of DT trying to make more money with the game, only a little disapointment that the hardcore characters are not all created equal.
