Default remorting question

Does unused AP carry over when you remort your character?

I'm not sure if this is as intended, then, but I seem to recall that when I have more than 50 AP before remorting, they carry over. (If I have less than 50, they reset to 50). Currently trying to get charas up high enough to remort and check.

Edit:
Sasarai re-morted with 60 AP left, and he still had 60 after going through the re-mort screens.

I can testify that they do.
